Ms. DiBerto - 1st Grade

Students from Ms. DiBerto's 1st grade class created Shape Art using pattern blocks and their imagination. What do you see?
JN: I like to make cool designs.
EH: I like to create cool decorations on birdhouses
EA: I like how we could use our imagination and create anything we wanted.
AD: I like how we could make all the seasons at one time.
LE: Using shapes to make whatever we wanted.

Watch out for Reporters Around the School

This is a group of reporters from BES, be ready to be interviewed.
Today we practiced with Flip Videos, planned our interviews and practiced interviewing.
We discussed the privacy of students and our responsibilities as reporters to abide by the Blogger's Pledge.  We had fun!  Look out for black cameras!

Author Visit, Kirsten Merinda

Local Author, Kirsten Merinda, spent the day at BES sharing her love for writing and illustrating.   Students from Ms. Murphy's 2nd grade class share their thoughts below.
Morgan P. I loved the way she illustrated her book.
Alex P.  I think it's really neat that she was a 2nd grader in Ms. Murphy's class too!
Autumn B.  She has a character with my name in her book.
Caleb N.  I liked the way she read the book with expression.
